Ian Hughes has a wealth of experience with over 26 years of working within the banking sector. Ian had been the Senior Relationship Manager within St George Commercial & Business Banking for more than 12 years and was looking for a change.
He joined the Finance On The Coast team as an independent Mortgage Broker and needed a steady flow of leads to help to build his business.
Ian explored options to achieve this but quickly found that marketing in the finance niche was a very costly affair.

Ian was delighted with these numbers and thus Local Lead Marketing created the Mortgage Broker Central Coast campaign.
Antony helped to establish the service area that Ian wanted to focus on and began the research into a campaign. After a thorough analysis on the competition and search volume for the area of the Central Coast, Antony spotted a great opportunity to bring in an extra 10 – 15 leads per month.
Antony and Local Lead Marketing started to work on the development on the new campaign. An extensive website was built that featured each of the individual services that Ian offered. As part of the campaign an extensive social media presence was established on all of the main platforms. A local phone number was purchased and directed to Ian’s mobile phone.
In the initial year a major SEO effort was pushed at the website for Ian’s main services. It took approximately 6 months to start to see a small flow of leads with 2 – 5 leads coming in per month.
After the 12-month mark the campaign really began to perform well and produce a constant stream of high quality leads achieving an average of 13 leads per month.
To make Ian even happier, a commission-based agreement was settled upon. This meant that after his initial start-up fee he didn’t pay anything until he had been paid for a positive result.
